Schools are places where children are educated, prepared, and trained for life. They learn fundamental skills that enable them to become independent, participate in society, and achieve their future goals. Similarly, GB School of Neuro Rehab is on a mission to train individuals with neurological disabilities for real-life skills and independent living. Neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, and other disorders can affect a person’s ability to walk, use their hands, maintain balance, communicate, work, and perform everyday activities. At GB School, we recognize that recovery is not simply about treating an injury—it is about relearning life. Our rehabilitation programs are designed as structured learning experiences where patients practice meaningful, real-world activities under the guidance of highly skilled therapists. Through the principles of motor learning, neuroplasticity, task-specific training, and intensive rehabilitation, individuals are taught to regain lost skills, develop new strategies, and achieve their highest level of functional independence.Just as a primary school prepares children for the challenges and opportunities of life, GB School of Neuro Rehab prepares patients for successful participation in their homes, workplaces, and communities. We believe that rehabilitation is education for the nervous system. Every therapy session is a lesson, every movement is practice, and every achievement is a step toward independence.
Our Mission:To train, educate, and empower individuals with neurological disabilities to relearn life skills, maximize functional recovery, and live independently with confidence and dignity.
Our Motto:”Training for Life Skills. Learning for Independence.”
What is the GB School Concept?
GB School of Neuro Rehab, founded by Dr. Gajanan Bhalerao, is one of Pune’s largest specialized neurorehabilitation centers dedicated to the comprehensive rehabilitation of individuals with stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, and other neurological conditions.
The GB School concept is built on the belief that rehabilitation is not merely treatment—it is a process of learning, relearning, and adapting to achieve meaningful participation in life. Inspired by the principles of motor learning, neuroplasticity, and functional recovery, GB School functions as a unique rehabilitation institution where patients learn and practice life activities in structured therapeutic environments under the guidance of skilled rehabilitation professionals.
Our center is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technologies and therapeutic devices that support intensive, evidence-based, and goal-oriented interventions. Every rehabilitation program is individually designed according to the patient’s functional abilities, personal goals, lifestyle, occupation, and participation needs.
At GB School, rehabilitation extends beyond improving impairments. We focus on teaching patients how to regain independence in mobility, self-care, communication, work, recreation, and community participation. Through repetitive practice, task-specific training, problem-solving, and functional learning, patients develop the skills required for successful reintegration into everyday life.
Our team of highly trained and experienced physiotherapists and rehabilitation professionals works collaboratively to provide holistic care. Using a patient-centered approach, we identify challenges, develop customized solutions, and guide individuals toward achieving their highest functional potential.
